Stakeholder Steering Groups
Dealing with more complex planning applications.
When dealing with more complex planning applications where more community input is required, the CCP will hold Stakeholder Steering Groups where a limited number of particularly relevant members of the community and councillors are invited to assist the project team in a workshop session to help steer the design of a proposal.
This generally takes the shape of a day or part of a day session where the relevant members of the project design team attend an event with relevant stakeholders and have a round table discussion to establish various factors of the proposed development.
The CCP have senior Councillors who are all very adept at chairing meetings to ensure that the maximum outcome is achieved from these workshop style steering groups. This method largely eliminates opposition as a community led design will generally have more support.
