Letter to Councillor Claus
Dear Councillor Claus,
My name is Henry and I have been a very good boy this year. Don’t worry, I am not going to ask you for a puppy or a X-box.
I have helped lots and lots and lots of people to get planning permissions for homes and logistics centres and solar farms and supermarkets and even a hotel. This helped lots and lots of people to get a home of their own and a job and sustainable energy and somewhere to buy their food and to stay when they go away.
I will cut to the chase, here is my little list of things I want:
I want Councillors to READ and UNDERSTAND the new NPPF.
I want Councillors to make a Local Plan
I want Councillors to realise that their housing target is NOT optional
I want Councillors on Planning Committees to follow the law and do their job
I want Councillors to talk to us and help us make the plans that will benefit the people they represent
I want more Planning Officers (good ones, not rubbish ones)
I want Parliament to pass the Planning and Infrastructure Bill
I want people to stop saying we can’t build 1.5 million homes before they even tried
I want everyone to work REALLY hard to build the 1.5 million homes
I want us to build more solar and wind farms
I want us to build more places where people can work
We want more infrastructure and we can provide it!
I promise that next year we will work even harder to help people get planning permissions and do our little bit to make our country a better place.
Lots of love,
Henry
